Research Use Only
All products sold by Ontario Peptide are intended solely for laboratory research, scientific study, or analytical applications. These materials are not approved, licensed, or intended for human or veterinary consumption, therapeutic use, diagnostics, or any other purpose not explicitly authorized by applicable regulatory agencies, including Health Canada. The purchaser acknowledges that all information provided by Ontario Peptide regarding product specifications and intended use is accurate to the best of the company’s knowledge at the time of sale.
Products sold by Ontario Peptide are not drugs, natural health products, dietary supplements, or compounds for self-administration. They must not be used in food, cosmetics, or household products.
Regulatory Compliance
Ontario Peptide operates strictly as a supplier of research chemicals and materials. The company does not hold a Health Canada licence as a pharmacy, drug establishment, or natural health product site as defined under the Food and Drugs Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. F-27) or related regulations.
Products are not approved under the Food and Drug Regulations or Natural Health Products Regulations, and Ontario Peptide makes no claims regarding diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of any disease or condition.
Under Section 2 of the Food and Drugs Act, a "drug" includes any substance represented for use in the diagnosis, treatment, mitigation, or prevention of disease, or for altering organic functions. Ontario Peptide products are clearly labeled “For Research Use Only – Not for Human or Veterinary Use” and do not meet the definition of a drug under the Act.
Purchaser Requirements
By making a purchase from Ontario Peptide, you certify and agree that:
- You are at least 21 years of age.
- You are a qualified researcher, laboratory technologist, academic, or affiliated with a licensed research institution or company.
- All products will be used exclusively for legitimate laboratory research or analytical purposes, in compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal laws.
- You assume full responsibility for the safe storage, handling, and lawful use of the materials purchased.
Ontario Peptide reserves the right to refuse sale to any person or entity suspected of intending to use these materials in a manner inconsistent with these terms or applicable law.
Disclaimer of Liability
All products are provided “as is” without warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
This Disclaimer and these Terms of Sale extend to and protect Ontario Peptide, its parent companies, subsidiaries, owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, and any individuals or entities affiliated with the business. Ontario Peptide does not guarantee the suitability, safety, or performance of any product for any application beyond laboratory or analytical research. The purchaser assumes all risk and liability arising from use, misuse, or inability to use products purchased.
Ontario Peptide, its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any damages, injuries, losses, or legal consequences arising from product use in violation of these terms.
Indemnification
By purchasing products, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ontario Peptide, its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) resulting from your use, misuse, or distribution of these materials, or any breach of these terms and conditions.
Product Quality & Documentation
All products are subject to quality control testing to verify identity, composition, and purity. Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are available upon request. These documents describe analytical results and testing methodologies but do not imply suitability for therapeutic or human use.
Prohibited Uses
The following uses of Ontario Peptide products are strictly prohibited:
- Human or animal consumption, injection, or application
- Therapeutic, diagnostic, or drug compounding use
- Use in food, cosmetics, or household formulations
- Resale or transfer to individuals or organizations that do not meet purchaser qualifications
- Any use that would violate Health Canada, the Food and Drugs Act, or provincial/federal law
Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account and reporting to appropriate authorities.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions, and any transactions with Ontario Peptide, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ontario courts.
Acknowledgment
By purchasing from Ontario Peptide, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms above, and that you accept full legal responsibility for compliance with all applicable regulations governing the possession and use of research chemicals. **The purchaser further agrees that these terms apply to all transactions, whether conducted through the website, social media, or via direct personal interaction.**
